HISTORY
In 1959, TACO Metals Founder Dave Kushner took a small Miami-based aluminum railing fabrication company and grew it into an established metal and marine manufacturing full-service enterprise with more than 110 employees today. In the early 1970s, TACO Metals entered the marine market as South Florida became known as a mecca for the recreational marine industry. We recognized a market and became quickly identified as a primary source supplier for the marine industry.
Over the years, TACO grew to include regional warehouses throughout Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina while also expanding its company into international markets. Additionally, Dave’s three sons, Jon, Mike and Bill, followed in their father’s footsteps and led TACO after he retired in the early 90s.
The Kushner brothers took their passion for the marine industry to become leaders on the forefront of innovation – developing new products, such as the Grand Slam line of outrigger mounts and poles, universal replacement Rub Rail Kits, flex-chrome inserts, Rub Rail-integrated navigation lights, ball and socket canvas top fittings and Capri Helm Seats. Today, we continue to grow organically through our ongoing commitment to innovation and product design.
We attribute our success over the past 61 years to developing a strong supply chain, which includes valued partnerships with our suppliers and customers – boat builders, marine fabricators, distributors and dealers.

Whether boating or fishing, this group of talented individuals lives and breathes the marine industry and TACO. Combined, our Sales team has more than 100 years of experience and together they serve customers up and down the eastern seaboard. Our customers know they can not only depend on TACO for excellent products, but also our Sales representatives for the very best service.
To best serve our customers throughout North America, we work with a variety of Independent Representatives. Our Independent Representatives not only specialize in the marine industry and TACO products, but they work face-to-face with distributors, boat yards, dealers and retailers to help with product training, trade shows, merchandizing, retailing and detailing.
